Outright Gifts
An outright gift is just that — something you give immediately and directly. It can be as simple as an online gift through the website or as unique as donating a piece of real property or art. It all depends on what you’d like to do or help UF accomplish. Examples of outright gifts are:
- Online gifts
- Brick programs
- Tangible assets (such as books, art, etc.)
- Expendable (or non-endowed) gifts
- Endowments
- Naming opportunities
- Corporate match
- Stocks and other securities
- Donor-advised funds
- IRA rollovers
Planned/Deferred Gifts
Planned or deferred gifts, on the other hand, are gifts that require some planning, are tax advantaged and may be deferred. Such gifts include:
- Bequests or other estate commitments
- Charitable remainder trusts
- Charitable gift annuities
- Gifts of insurance
Detailed information is available on our Gift Planning pages, by contacting the Office of Estate & Gift Planning, at giftplanning@uff.ufl.edu or (352) 392-5513, or by finding an advisor.
